We're proud to share that our project, the Predictable Stop Kit, is through to Phase 2 of the national centre for accessible transport (ncat) Scaling Innovation Programme!
The idea behind the Predictable Stop Kit is really simple: public transport stops are inaccessible for many, and to remove those barriers, we need to change the infrastructure at the stop itself (rather than asking passengers to use a new app or some other workaround).
The Predictable Stop Kit retrofits to the stop and delivers helpful accessibility features and real-time travel information through four sensory channels. It works for people with visual, auditory, cognitive, and mobility-related access needs, and everyone else too.
